Product Engineering Specialist

The Engineering Architect (platform) will serve as the operational second-in-command for New Product Introduction (NPI) related to technical topics and platform strategy. In this critical role, you will define and oversee the architecture of assigned platforms in alignment with the established strategies.

Your Impact 

• Archicteture Leadership: Define the platform architecture in accordance with strategic objectives, playing a key role as both Platform Engineer and Platform Architect within the global system engineering framework.
• Ensure that the defined platform strategy meets all legislative requirements and regulations.
• Proactively identify quick wins for ongoing NPIs and Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) initiatives within the architectural framework.
• Documentation and Handover: Ensure that all architecture and product definitions are documented clearly to facilitate a smooth handover to NPI Project Leads post-kick-off.
• NPI Project Planning: Participate in defining the NPI project plan up to the first project gates and Change Requests (CR/PA).

Your Experience and Qualifications 

• Complete Bachelor Degree in Engineering
• Fluent English Skills (communication and writing) is mandatory 
• Several years of experience in project development of new products in engineering. Desirable experience in agriculture industry with agriculture machinery (tractors), but can have experience in automotive sector as well. 
• 3D Architecture Construction: Design and construct high-level product architecture in 3D, identifying potential gaps and issues within the chosen platform framework.
• Platform Cost Optimization (PCO): Participate in the PCO discussions for future platforms, ensuring the architecture is efficient and cost-effective.
• Innovative Proposals: Foster out-of-the-box thinking by proposing innovative concepts aimed at enhancing future vehicle designs.
