Job Summary:

Developing industry-leading software that enables new functionality and smart farming solutions across machine platforms is central to AGCO's strategy of making farmers' work more efficient. The NPI Software Prototype Governance Lead ensures that agreed-upon NPI content is mature and ready for development teams at key prototype and build events. This role oversees phase gate deliverable readiness, tracks release plans for cross-functional visibility and execution and escalates risks or issues that threaten planned delivery.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with release management processes and standards.
  • Develop and deliver training materials on phase gate deliverables and processes globally across functions.
  • Ensure agreed-upon content is mature, ready for development teams, and compliant with governance rules at each build event.
  • Prepare and validate phase gate deliverables; identify and escalate risks or issues threatening planned delivery.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally — primarily with Project Team Leads, Solution/Product Owners, Product Management, and Validation — to maintain release plans and ensure smooth release processes.

 

Experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering related field.
  • Proven experience in software release management or equivalent role.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies (SAFe preferred).
  • Solid organizational and project management skills, project management certification preferred (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist).
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills in a cross-functional, global environment.
  • Proficiency with release management tooling and CI/CD pipelines.
