AGCO is currently seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join our Information Technology team in Duluth, GA. This position is responsible for all aspects of incident managements including logging, analyzing, resolving, and follow up on hardware and software issues. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment (including but not limited to desktops, laptops, thin clients, printers, scanners, copiers and smart phones) to ensure optimal workstation performance. Additionally, the IT Services Technician II will assist end-users via remote access, telephone, or in-person.

 

What you will do:

 

  • Diagnose and quickly resolve all Windows applications and networking problems reported to help minimize downtime and troubleshoot and support mobile devices (smart phone and tablets)
  • Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2013 (and newer) and any other AGCO approved desktop applications
  • Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade all hardware equipment (including but not limited to desktops, laptops, thin clients, printers, scanners, copiers, smart-phones, tablets and bar code readers)
  • Follow AGCO's approved processes and procedures for Asset Management (Hardware and Software) and educate end users on basic software, hardware and peripheral device operation
  • Provide site support and assistance to the Central IT Support Teams (Network, Storage, Telecom) as needed, including physical replacement of racked switches or servers.
  • Communicate recommendations for future modifications and/or additions to the current standards to the Global Desktop Team

 

What you will bring:

 

  • High School Diploma is required; Associates degree or equivalent military experience preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience in an IT Technical Support or related role, specifically supporting Windows 10 as well as Microsoft Office 2013 or higher

 

A plus if you have:

 

  • 2+ years of experience supporting video conferencing equipment and IP Telephony support experience
  • 2+ years of experience working in an enterprise environment and supporting network infrastructure
  • One of the following technical certifications: Microsoft Windows 7 or higher certifications (MCP, MTA, MCSA, MCSE), CompTIA A+ Certification
  • Experience with IBM AS/400 & System21

 

Additional Requirements

 

  • Off hours support, as required and in rotation with other staff.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds of equipment short distances
