The Senior Manager, Global Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), PTx serves a key role in the organization, providing input for both the senior leadership team and the Corporate FP&A team across all geographies. The ideal candidate will provide strategic financial insights to drive decision-making and contribute to the overall growth and success of the organization. This role will oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and analysis while working closely with cross-functional teams.
Your Impact
- Manage the annual budget and quarterly forecast process for PTx Trimble
- Ensure stakeholders adhere to the communicated timeline
- Develop new, repeatable processes for modeling and loading product revenue and cost into OneStream at the necessary level of detail to facilitate variance analysis (region, source, channel, product)
- Calculate and load all operating expenses for PTx Trimble by working with operations teams
- Load the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement for PTx Trimble into OneStream and ensure accuracy
- Coordinate and prepare materials for management reviews
- Provide financial analysis and support to the Director, Global FP&A, PTx, the Corporate FP&A team, and the CFO
- Provide analysis of monthly results and major forecasts against comparatives (forecast, budget, prior year), including assisting with presentation preparation
- Provide quarterly “latest look” estimates to Director, Global FP&A, PTx, encompassing volume changes and other variances across the P&L
- Monitor global performance and progress toward established financial goals
- Perform quarterly margin reconciliations versus budget and prior year
- Report regional pricing and cost economics performance
- Quickly assess region-wide risks and opportunities for ad-hoc updates and engage functional leadership as required
- Assist with Strategic Planning process
- Drive operational excellence and process improvement
- Seek out irregularities and provide solutions to ensure accuracy of reporting. Current areas of focus are product costs, operating expenses by cost center, profitability by sales channel, and reporting inconsistencies in OneStream
- Identify and execute on process improvement ideas
- Manage and evolve major reporting tools including regional P&Ls, operating expense reporting at varying levels of detail, product margin analysis inclusive of roll-forwards versus comparatives, working capital, and analytics by major cost area
- Serve as OneStream expert by fully exploring functionality and sharing the best practices among PTx FP&A team
- Leverage S&OP output for use in financial reporting
- Support transition to new ERP system
Your Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 7-10 years related accounting or finance experience, preferably in an analytical role
- High level of expertise with MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with OneStream and ERP systems like SAP and Oracle is essential
- Ability to work with all levels of management; producing output that is reliable and polished is critical
- Strong, demonstrated problem-solving skills and an extensive amount of independent thinking are required
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision and influence others without specific authority to accomplish objectives
