AGCO is looking for a dynamic and innovative Global Intelligence Manager to work remotely in North America!

 

The Strategy and Transformation (S&T) function is accountable to lead the development, execution, and evolution of AGCO’s corporate strategy.  This includes on-going analysis of the industry and competitive landscape, translating the strategy into business plans, leading a multiyear roadmap of strategic initiatives with expected value creation targets, and establishing change management strategies.  To deliver on those expectations, the S&T function includes Business Strategy Leads, Data & Analytics, Results Delivery Office, Corporate Communications, Culture, and Change Management.

 

The Global Intelligence Manager is a key role within the S&T Data & Analytics team  that will work with internal and external information sources to deliver market and competitive insights at a global and regional level.   This role will collaborate with a number of colleagues around the work to compile insights about evolving farmer needs,  trends and opportunities in the agriculture value chain, existing and emerging players across our markets, and  factors influencing profitability to  support strategic leadership decisions within AGCO . 

 

What You Will Do

  • Develop  the strategy and implementation plan to establish this new  Market and Competitive Intelligence capability for AGCO -leveraging best practices, internal networks, external data, etc
  • Assess suppliers of market and competitive intelligence data at global and regional levels;  establish a common global source where appropriate; identifying efficiencies along the way.
  • Assess and recommend technology platforms and solutions that can help automate and speed access to insights
  • Build partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders to gain industry relevant insights.
  • Aggregate and provide insight updates to our Senior Leadership team, the Board of Directors, investor relations, and other internal stakeholders; utilize data visualizations and storytelling to drive adoption of insights into business decisions.
  • Standardize and publish reporting of key data, such as market share and industry forecasting models of ag equipment demand, including changes to the demand forecast or in competitive positioning.
  • Act as a change agent – educate, increase awareness of and build support for world class industry forecasting, competitive intelligence and market intelligence at AGCO.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Market Research, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics or related field, required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience in economics, business analytics, market research, or competitive intelligence, required.
  • Exceptional written, oral and visual communication skills and extensive experience delivering information and presentations to key stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to analyze and integrate economic, financial, market and industry trends to contribute to effective business strategies and/or tactics.
  • Experience identifying long-range goals and driving actions to accomplish those goals based on logical assumptions, facts, available resources, constraints and organizational values.

 

A Plus If You Have

  • Ag industry experience.
  • Proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, Python or similar analytics tool.
  • Ability to be proactive and independent, taking initiative.
  • Ability to quickly comprehend new systems and tools.
  • Ability to organize work and effectively manage a variety of projects at the same time, while meeting aggressive deadlines.
