Materials Planning Manager Job

The NA Materials Planning Manager will be responsible for leading, developing and optimizing the materials planning data governance into materials processes across the NA sites (Hesston, Jackson, Beloit, G&P sites: Assumption, Taylorville, Paris, Montreal, Omaha, Bremen) with focus on standardization, cost savings, performance improvement, inventory optimization and digitization processes. Also, the role holder will closely liaise with suppliers, drive processes improvements. The position also will be responsible for conduction of group wide and local performance optimization as well the management / guidance of the NA materials planning functions. Support of local supply chain managers and functions in terms of strategic direction and operational challenges is part of his job. Improving of materials planning related IT standard and new technologies is an additional duty and responsibility. This position will interact with numerous functions within the organization and across the global regions he will be in close interaction with various local functions (quality, manufacturing, sales, purchasing, and engineering) of the plants, and support the SAP implementation and digitization processes.



  • The NA Materials Planning Manager will be responsible for the development / implementation of Materials planning data governance, and the support to define or improve standards processes into NA region, teeing the regional and global strategies where possible.
  • Establish the standardization of materials planning processes, inventory optimization, KPI`s, controls and reports across the NA region. Develop and maintain performance metrics (materials cost and capacity related) of materials planning processes in alignment with Regional and Global standards.
  • The position will facilitate resolutions over supply risks, sharing Global capacity when necessary, supporting the MOQ`s parameters definitions, and driving projects or action to improve the OTD/OTIF levels.
  • Conduct regular meetings with main suppliers to discuss and align processes improvement projects, KPI`s and performance review.
  • Regional lead for projects to deploy global and regional processes improvement into materials planning area, and will be the focal point to share, align and apply best practices over the NA.
  • Drive and enhance the digitization processes: RPA, EDI, SNC, others into materials planning area.
  • Support the SAP implementation across the region.



  • Four years Degree in Business, Economics and/or Engineering is preferred.
  • At Least 6 years of experience in global supply chain/logistics environment; preferably in a manufacturing industries, being managing with multi-functional teams (strong leadership skills)
  • Proficient English language skills (written and spoken) are a pre-requisite; other languages proficiency as a differential.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively at all levels within the business and in a cross functional organization.
  • Experience in SAP is required.
  • Project Management and multitasking skills.
  • MBA or APICS certified professional as a plus.
  • International experience as a differential.
  • Must have excellent communications / financial / analytical / manufacturing functional knowledge.
  • Six-Sigma and Lean Manufacturing implementation experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Project.
  • Must have strong oral, written and interpersonal collaborative communication and presentation skills for effective dealings with suppliers and AGCO team members.
