AGCO Corp has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join the North American Logistics team. This position will be assigned a “remote” working status and can be required to travel to a North America site as needed (Batavia, IL, Jackson, MN, Hesston, KS, Assumption, IL, or Duluth, GA).  The project manager (PM) uses analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance supply chain processes for transportation related activities. The PM is responsible for leading teams to assemble data, analyze performance, identify problems, and develop recommendations that support planning and operations. The individual will coordinate and support transportation activities to achieve cost and service effective results.  Assignments will require a close and effective working relationship with a broad range of people such as procurement, transportation, customer service, sales, IT, vendors and consultants. 

 

What you will do:

  • Work independently with end-users and business partners to assess the business requirements, match these requirements to objectives and guide them to the applicable processes and products including developing plans, specifications, and enhancements that will achieve the business goals
  • Manage and manipulate data in SQL, Excel, Tableau, and Access
  • Design, build and maintain data collection repositories supporting transportation
  • Show initiative, drive, and most importantly able to both maintain focus on the big picture while also demonstrating a commitment to the details
  • Capable of handling challenging IT/data system, file manipulation, and integration
  • Prioritize and determine the feasibility of alternative solutions to current supply chain processes
  • Monitor key performance indicators and analyze performance data to increase the effectiveness of supply chain initiative.
  • Prepare, understand, and present monthly, quarterly and annual summaries of results, accomplishments, and future plans
  • Provide detailed analysis to determine the most efficient and economical routing and mode of transportation
  • Support Procurement Managers with analyzing the transportation aspects of various sourcing events and cost analysis
  • Responsible for knowledge of all logistics position to assist where needed.
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned.

 


 

 

 

 

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor degree in Supply Chain or Business or 3 to 5 years’ experience with successfully running diverse cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional problem solving, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills to resolve issues.
  • A solid understanding of web technologies, relational databases and multi-tier applications is expected
  • Project management experience or PMP certified
  • International Logistics Experience
