AGCO is currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join its North American Finance team in Duluth, GA. The Staff Accountant’s primary responsibility is to provide support to the month end close process and to ensure the general ledger is accurate and in accordance with US GAAP. This position will work closely with the Accounting Management on various facets of the monthly close. Additionally, the Staff Accountant mamwill be an essential member of the North American finance team and will work closely with AGCO’s local functional teams, site operations and corporate finance.

Your Impact

• Assist with the monthly close, includes preparation of journal entries, running reports, allocation of costs, expense analysis, and preparation of reserves.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations as assigned.
• Work closely with both internal and external auditors during quarterly reviews, annual audits and Sarbanes Oxley testing.
• Identify process improvements within area of responsibility and create or enhance current process documentation
• Provide meaningful analysis and support for ad hoc requests, projects and other duties as assigned.

Your Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 0-5 years of work experience exhibiting an analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Working knowledge of JDE, SAP, and OneStream is preferred.

Your Workplace

You will work in a hybrid environment, working in the Duluth office one day a month and as business need requires.   Currently the team meeting is the 3rd Thursday of every month.
