AGCO’s Field Service team has an exciting opportunity for a high-impact Technical Support Field Manager to join its team in delivering extraordinary results throughout the Colorado & Northwest Kansas area. This is a role with growth potential and developmental opportunities. In this position, you will drive the highest level of service and quality to our dealership network.


The role of this individual carries an understanding of agricultural equipment; is intimately familiar with how the equipment is operated; and has a strong appreciation of the customer’s needs and expectations. The Technical Support Field Manager will be the eyes and ears in the field whose primary function is to identify, investigate and report on product quality and emerging product reliability issues. This will include being the in-field technical representative focused on assisting dealers with product issue resolution. This position will have frequent and significant interaction with dealer service managers and technicians.  The objective is to positively impact product reliability, customer satisfaction, quality, market share and, ultimately, profitability.


What you will do:


  • Provides technical advice and guidance to team members as well as dealers.  Makes frequent, often short notice visits to dealers within assigned area. 
  • Travels onsite for investigation or assistance into technical issues.  Assisting/coaching/guiding dealers on technical problem investigation as well as solution implementation.
  • Identifies emerging issues and investigates to understand product reliability problems.
  • Reports on product reliability concerns. These reports will include dealer/customer input, observations, recommendations provided to the dealer/customer, plus data readings, photos, and video.
  • Provides Custom Harvester Combine Support assignments through grain harvest season.


What you will bring:


  • 5+ years of experience diagnosing and repairing automotive, ag equipment, heavy construction equipment
  • Degree/Certification in Vocational Ag, Trade, Technology, Agricultural Sciences, Engineering


A plus if you have:


  • Familiarity with applied hydraulics, engines, drivetrains, electrical systems, electronics, and air conditioning systems.
  • Excellent technical skills including problem solving & troubleshooting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Reliable and able to work independently.
  • Ability and willingness to travel.
  • Experience with heavy equipment (farm or industrial), dealership dynamics, and direct customer interaction.
  • Additional certifications like ASE, ASAE, etc. are desired and found to be appealing.\


Travel Requirements:


  • Must be willing to travel and be away from home three (3) to four (4) nights per week.
  • The employee must be capable of operation of assigned area with minimal supervision.
  • Clean driving record
