The Assembler is responsible for assembling and inspecting parts, components, and finished equipment in alignment with engineering specifications, quality standards, and production schedules.

 Your Impact:

  • Perform quality checks on products and parts and provide corrective action as needed.
  • Mount assemblies in test fixtures and observe performance.
  • Position control mechanisms and connective levers and rods with correct bolts, rivets or other fasteners as required.
  • Prepare / package products, parts for shipment and/or other internal processes/departments.
  • Review work orders, blueprints and engineering specifications to ensure work is performed according to specifications.
  • Complete production reports to communicate production information to management/supervision.
  • Maintain production equipment and machinery.
  • Affix subassemblies to main assemblies (i.e. chassis, gears, housings, transmissions, etc.)
  • Assist other assemblers, other employees and train employees on job procedures.
  • Use tools, equipment and technology, including hand or power tools, manufacturing/operations equipment and computerized or automated systems.

Your Experience & Qualifications

  1. High school diploma or GED preferred.
  2. Previous experience in manufacturing or assembly preferred.
  3. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and instructions.
  4. Strong hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude
  5. Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Your Workplace
You will work onsite at the location of Edgewood, MD with your wonderful AGCO colleagues in person. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, dirt, fumes, factory noise, sharp objects, & close proximity to vehicles, such handcarts & forklifts. Candidates must be able to consistantly lift 35 pounds & perform a variety of  physical functions, including constant walking, bending, pushing/pulling, crouching, kneeling, etc. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
