AGCO is seeking a Research and Development Engineering Intern to join our team based in Fargo, North Dakota. This is a full-time internship during the summer of 2025. The R&D Engineering Intern will assist in projects that deliver disruptive solutions that enable greater productivity and sustainability in agriculture. Responsibilities include researching new concepts, prototyping, implementing experiments or tests to validate concepts, data collection, data analysis, and documenting the results. These responsibilities are to efficiently determine if a concept will work throughout the phases of ideation, proof of concept, alpha/beta, and production.


Your Impact

  • Assist in finding and implementing innovative solutions for research and development projects
  • Maintain design and test documentation in a neat and organized fashion
  • Work closely with other project team members to ensure the final deliverable comes together in a way that meets or exceeds the requirements
  • Work in a cross-functional project team to ensure designs meet necessary cost, quality, and can be produced or distributed efficiently

 

Your Experience and Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least one of the following:
    • Knowledge of common mechanical design considerations
    • Knowledge of common electrical design considerations
    • Knowledge of common software design considerations
  • At least one of the following:
    • Ability to create models, drawings, and other artifacts to create mechanical parts.
    • Ability to create schematics, layouts, and other artifacts to create electrical parts.
    • Ability to create modular, robust, and maintainable source code and other artifacts to create deployable software.
  • Experience with Python or equivalent programming languages for data collection and data analysis
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents such as schematics, datasheets and application notes
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities while working in a team environment
  • Strong writing, documentation and speaking skills
