At AGCO, you will gain valuable practical experience that will really help you get ahead. AGCO is seeking a Product Engineer Intern to join our team based in Fargo, North Dakota. This is a full-time internship during the summer of 2025.

 

A Product Engineer is responsible for improving and maintaining mechanical hardware for complex systems in the product domains of Agriculture and Aviation. A Product Engineer will be involved in applying their skill set in a broad spectrum of technologies such as injection molding, casting, optical systems, and acoustic designs. Product Engineers take part in the entire product lifecycle, from initial production to obsolescence. The Engineer can problem solve and communicate collaboratively with other members of the engineering team, management, and customers to translate and execute cost reduction, product improvement, and root cause analysis. 

 

Your Impact

  • Prepare and interpret drawings and other visual aids
  • Aid in the modification of existing products
  • Aid in cost reduction activities
  • Aid in root cause analysis on mechanical systems
  • Conduct research activities including exploration and selection of new components
  • Design, coordinate, and conduct testing of mechanical systems, parts, and equipment
  • Participate in sprint plans and retrospectives
  • Participate in technical design reviews
  • Prepare technical design specifications

Your Experience and Qualifications

  • Current student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment
  • Preferred experience with CAD design
  • Preferred experience with SMT Manufacturing
