Continuous Improvement Manager

Who We Are Looking For:  AGCO, a global leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of agricultural solutions, has an exciting career opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Manager to join our team in Hesston, KS.  The Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager is responsible for implementing and refining all continuous improvement / Lean-APS procedures & programs in accordance with corporate requirements to meet Policy Deployment and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets.   This position leads a team of CI Technicians and works closely with the operations team on continuous improvement projects utilizing Lean/APS, and Six Sigma principles at the Hesston site. 

 

 

What You Will Do

  • Drive targeted, sustainable improvement in SQDC/P (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost/Productivity) that is tied to Policy Deployment (PD) and Daily Management (DM) by leveraging Lean/APS tools. 
  • Provide tactical administration of the APS Roadmap (i.e., how to use the APS tools to drive sustainable improvement in results).
  • Facilitate formal and informal APS training and coaching.
  • Be an active Leader in PD and Daily Management reviews (as appropriate.)
  • Ensure successful kaizen events by installing and ensuring compliance with the kaizen process (includes (1) planning of kaizens with a dynamic funnel process tied to PD and Daily Management, (2) kaizen execution, and (3) sustainment of kaizens).
  • Promote and facilitate diagnosis of workflow obstacles and other wastes throughout the business and provide expert counsel on appropriate Lean/APS tools to eliminate them.
  • Improve Lean/APS training and facilitation skills by pursuing certification in Lean/APS tools (MBB process for self and others).
  • Promote and facilitate associate development in various Lean/APS tools and kaizen leadership.
  • Manage Six Sigma, Kaizen, APS, and Capital Projects.
  • Manage other duties and tasks as assigned. 

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, process management, or operations.
  • 5+ years of experience in business strategy, project management, or business development
  • Proficiency with TQM process evaluation techniques
  • Experience developing training programs for an employee base
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

A Plus If You Have

  • Six Sigma certification (preferred)
