Design Engineer

AGCO, a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of agricultural solutions, has an exciting career opportunity for a Design Engineer to join our Large Square Baler Team in Hesston, KS. This Design Engineer position will report to the Module Lead Engineer, Large Square Balers.  The purpose of this position is to perform product design initiatives. 

What Will You Do? 

• Develop and implement design concepts for the Large Square Baler products. 

• Organize and facilitate design reviews with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of design changes. 

• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve manufacturability of product designs.  

• Provide support of new designs for lab and field validation, of issues resolution. 

• Responsible for configuration and design variations of current products.  

• Hands-on approach, design, and fit-up of components onto designated products. 

• Must be able to travel as necessary in U.S. and internationally, if needed. 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS 

Basic Qualifications: 

• BS in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering, or a related technical field required. 

• 3-5 years of design experience in engineering, with implementation, testing, and validating of component/product designs. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Design 3-D models using Creo software 

• Proficiency using Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word 

• Strong design ability, with hands-on capabilities. 

• Experience with Agriculture Harvesting Equipment 

• Must be very detail-oriented with a high standard of Quality 

• Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic working environment 

• Good mechanical aptitude with the ability to develop product improvements 

• Ability to work either independently or in a team setting demonstrating a positive work attitude
