The Electrical Engineer – Validation is responsible for planning, executing, and documenting the validation of imported electrical components and systems for AGCO machinery. This role ensures that all electrical systems meet AGCO’s performance, safety, and regulatory standards before integration into production platforms.

 

Your Impact

  • Lead validation for imported electrical components (harnesses, ECUs, sensors, control systems), developing and executing EVT, DVT, and PVT test plans.  Engage the voice of the customer in the evaluation of electronic and software solutions. Communicate the results of this evaluation with relevant design and validation teams.
  • Perform functional, environmental, and compliance testing utilizing tools such as CANalyzer, dSPACE, and HIL systems. 
  • Collaborate with global suppliers and cross-functional teams to resolve design and performance issues. 
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards (ISO, CE, FCC, SAE, etc.). 
  • Document test results, create validation reports, and support root cause analysis and continuous improvement of validation processes and test automation.

 

Your Experience and Qualifications

  • Educational Requirement: A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field is mandatory.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical validation is required, with a preference for backgrounds in agricultural, automotive, or heavy equipment sectors. This experience should include familiarity with EMC, thermal, and vibration testing standards.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of embedded systems, CAN protocols, and electrical schematics is essential. Hands-on experience with validation tools such as CANalyzer, LabVIEW, and MATLAB/Simulink is also expected.
  • Core Competencies: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and proven project management capabilities are key attributes.
  • Industry Relevance: Ideal candidates will have direct experience in industries like agriculture, automotive, or heavy equipment, specifically relating to electrical validation and adherence to industry-specific testing standards.
