Quality Assurance Engineering Intern
Who We Are Looking For
The Quality Engineer will provide expertise in support of quality improvements in products and processes. Quality Engineers support various production areas across fabrication, assembly, as well as functional areas such as supply chain, engineering, and customer service.
What You Will Do
- Assist quality engineers with structured problem solving and countermeasure implementation
- Learn the basics of 5S and be able to work on improvement of areas with team members
- Assist quality technicians with in-process audits of areas of component manufacturing
- Gather and analyze performance data (scrap, rejections, defects, rework) to aid in the development of process improvement projects
- Assist in documenting non-conformances and working with the plant and suppliers to understand and correct the issues
- Perform statistical process and lean six sigma methods
- Weld, paint, dimensional, and metallurgy inspection
- Checking blueprints and parts against AGCO and industry standards.
- Aid in internal ISO audits and documentation improvements
- Some local travel may be required
What You Will Bring
- Currently working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, for distances up to 50 feet, occasionally, as needed to assist others.
- Must be able to visually inspect and locate parts and materials, as well as to read required documentation.
Other Skills:
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to be consistent
- Ability to work with details
