The Materials Planning Manager leads the materials planning team, overseeing all aspects of materials planning and supply chain operations to ensure the seamless flow of parts and materials. This role is responsible for developing strategies, guiding the team, and implementing processes that enable on-time in-full (OTIF) production while optimizing inventory and mitigating supply chain risks. The Manager collaborates across functions, driving operational excellence and aligning supply chain activities with corporate objectives.
Your Impact
- Lead materials planners’ team to achieve high OTIF performance and optimize inventory levels through effective planning, forecasting, safety stock management, and replenishment strategies. Also, guide the team in resolving supply chain challenges and leveraging root cause analysis and sustainable solutions.
- Oversee the development and execution of materials requirement schedules (MRP) to ensure seamless materials flow, avoid shortages, and ensure uninterrupted production.
- Manage and guide a high-performing materials planning team, fostering a collaborative, results-oriented culture while driving professional growth and innovation.
- Ensure proactive and preventive follow-up with suppliers to secure OTIF deliveries, mitigate production risks, and maintain the inventory levels according to the targets,
- Monitor supply chain KPIs (e.g., OTIF, DOH, and Shortages) and lead continuous improvement initiatives using data analytics to enhance planning processes and ERP systems/tools.
Your Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in materials planning, supply chain management, or related.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Project management experience is preferred, including leading cross-functional and multi-site teams.
- Proficiency in SAP modules (MM, PP, LES) is required
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are also required, and experience with Tableau is a plus.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills focusing on continuous improvement.
