As a key member of the Global R&AE leadership team, you will guide engineers and technologists in exploring new concepts, validating advanced technologies, and shaping the technical roadmap for next-generation Green Harvesting systems. You will collaborate across global engineering, product management, suppliers, and technology partners to deliver solutions that advance AGCO’s farmer-first innovation strategy.
Your Impact

Champion the creation, evaluation, and maturation of early-stage technologies to be integrated into future AGCO harvesting equipment. Drive concept development for automation, data-driven intelligence, advanced sensing, electrification, and sustainability-focused technologies.

Partner with Product Management, NPI teams, and global technology groups to define project requirements, system architectures, and integration paths.

Develop project scope, budgets, technical milestones and strategic objectives aligned to long-term product roadmaps. Oversee documentation, risk management, and structured engineering processes for early-stage technology programs. Ensure alignment with global R&AE strategy and governance processes.

Provide daily leadership to your direct team: coaching, mentoring, workload planning, performance management, and capability development. Foster a culture of trust and transparency, curiosity, continuous learning and accountability (Speak Up!) Build a diverse and collaborative engineering environment that encourages innovative thinking and cross-functional problem-solving (Team Up!)

Stay current with emerging technologies, competitive trends, and industry innovations relevant to (green) harvesting platforms. Participate in field trials and customer visits as needed to validate real-world performance and agriculture outcomes.

Engage with suppliers, research partners, universities, dealers, and field test locations to accelerate technology learning. Support the development of engineering talent pipelines by engaging with academia partners including students for internships and academic sponsored projects
Your Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field required. Master's degree or advanced technical specialization preferred.

7+ years of engineering experience, including concept development, design, or advanced technology work. Proven success leading complex projects or technical teams.

Strong understanding of equipment, technology, and agronomy for forage and harvesting solutions. Experience with agricultural equipment, automation systems, embedded technologies, and advanced sensing. Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to translate conceptual ideas into viable prototypes. Experience operating agricultural equipment (tractors, balers, mowers, rakes).

Clear communication, leadership, and motivational skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global, and collaborative environment. Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools. Experience with product validation and system-level testing is beneficial.

Understanding agricultural economics and customer use cases is advantageous. Proficiency with engineering tools and documentation; CAD experience is a plus. Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g. ISOBUS), software and control systems.
