AGCO, a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of agricultural solutions, has an exciting career opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Hesston, KS.  The Manufacturing Engineer will report to the Manufacturing Engineer Group Lead.  The Manufacturing Engineer will play a key part in the success of the productivity improvements at the Hesston site. Specifically, the Manufacturing Engineer will create standardized work, and will collaborate with AGCO’s continuous improvement team to create and document standardized work which we may be lacking. Additionally, the Manufacturing Engineer will keep the system, ECNs, work instructions, tooling, line moves, and new product launches efficient by reducing defects on assembly lines.

What Will You Do?

  • Support the shop floor during required activities and product launch periods
  • Lead special projects when assigned
  • Development and documentation of new processes and procedures
  • Develop new standard data by time study or MTM as needed
  • Develop cost estimates of manufactured components/materials ensuring completeness, accuracy, and conformance with required delivery schedules
  • Leads improvement initiatives to gain efficiency in the manufacturability of current processes
  • Communicate effectively with personnel, as the job requires, in a professional manner that facilitates teamwork
  • Resource management, planning, and interfacing with other production groups including interface with our MRP system and planning group to ensure timely production
  • Support the integration process of components to sub-assemblies, and sub-assemblies to the finished good, to improve the bill of process



Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Industrial Engineering or another engineering or technological focus
  • 2+ yrs of experience with Manufacturing Engineering concepts, manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing concepts, floor layout, and work flow

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Industrial Engineering or another engineering or technological focus
  • Experience working at an agricultural or heavy equipment manufacturing company
  • Experience using Pro/E or CREO
  • Experience in Mig welding processes.
