The purpose and scope of this position is management of site Machine Arrival Inspection (MAI) quality improvement activities that result in measurable and quantifiable improvement within the manufactured and delivered quality of assigned products. This includes using MAI results to provide guidance to site teams and provide a product with correct assembly and adjustment prior to being released for shipment.
Your Impact
- Implement / Ensure site compliance and use of the systems, tools, and processes for MAI submittals. Continuous coaching site teams to improve their performance by analyzing and actioning the TACR - Transition Arrival Conditioned Report and MAI feedback received on products shipped to the distribution network.(Machine Arrival Inspection - Predelivery Inspection)
- Action submitted MAI and Tech Connect cases relating to assembly, quality, logistical activities (damages) and disseminate to appropriate site team members. Use tools to identify trending, problem resolution and corrective actions on the assembly line, with support of site manufacturing and quality members.
- Attend and monitor Product Problem Resolution items. Engage if issue relates to quality of manufacture. Work with Customer Support (field and back-office) representatives to improve the ACR and MAI process with the distribution network.
- Work with internally managed Assembly Centers involved in the receiving assembly and readiness inspections of machines entering a region. Work with external partners involved in the receiving, inspection and readiness of machines debarking or arriving in a port of entry if applicable to assigned site.
- Travel to dealer partner locations in both local and export locations to complete MAI processes for effectiveness and drive improvement in both processes and product.
Your Experience and Qualifications
- College Degree (Undergrad minimum).
- 3 years’ experience in quality/manufacturing or aftersales/technical environment.
- Must be analytical; ability to leverage data from global tools, reports, dealer feedback to facilitate improvements.
- Work with site team members to facilitate problem resolution actions. Leverage Quality processes (tools) to structure and implement solutions to reported problems.
- Must be a good communicator to both inward facing team members and outward (Dealer/customer facing)
