Job Description:

AGCO is currently seeking a Technical Project Engineer to join our Research & Advanced Engineering team in Hesston, KS. The purpose of this position will be the development of new concepts and technology for Green Harvesting Advanced Engineering platforms.  This role is to develop, coordinate and execute proper design strategies related to product roadmaps. 


Summary of Duties:

  • Use harvesting technical expertise and product knowledge/experience to coordinate the development of new products or integrate new technologies.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, NPI teams and AGCO technology groups to define technical solutions and requirements for technology projects.
  • Keep abreast of latest technological advancements to allow for development of innovative product designs to gain competitive market advantages for AGCO.
  • Potential to travel to suppliers, production plants, dealerships, customer job sites and field test locations related to the development of engineering projects and problems resolution.
  • Collaborate with universities, and key suppliers on research projects.


QUALIFICATIONS:  (Designate Required or Preferred)



  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a 4-year accredited university
  • Proficiency using CREO, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word is required



Required Experience:

  • Strong design ability
  • Experience with Harvesting Equipment
  • Knowledge of unique farming methods
  • Ability to work in a diverse working environment
  • 4+ years design experience with complex engineering and manufacturability concepts. 
  • Ability to work in a team setting and demonstrate positive attitude
  • Good mechanical aptitude with ability to develop product concepts
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment

Special Job Dimensions:

  • Travel may be required on an as­needed basis (10% predicted).
