The Validation Engineer has deep knowledge of agricultural equipment and its operation, with a strong focus on understanding customer needs. They serve as the engineering “eyes and ears,” investigating and resolving complex product quality and reliability issues through hands-on equipment operation, data collection, and analysis. The role involves frequent interaction with dealer service managers and technicians, with the goal of improving product reliability, customer satisfaction, quality, and overall profitability.
The primary focus is resolving customer issues that are unable to be resolved through standard support channels. Multiple types of equipment will be supported including tractors, combines, windrowers, and other harvesting equipment.
Your Impact

Travel onsite to investigate and support complex technical issues, providing expert guidance to dealers and internal teams

Coach and assist dealers in problem investigation and solution implementation. Identify emerging product reliability issues and lead in-depth investigations

Collaborate with global engineering teams to resolve design and performance concerns

Inspect, analyze, and report on failed components. Lead complex technical cases requiring advanced analysis

Document findings, create reports, and support root cause analysis and continuous improvement
Your Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, agricultural engineering, or related field

Minimum of 3 years of validation experience (preferably in agriculture, automotive, or heavy equipment)

Strong background in data collection, data analysis, and root cause investigations. Expertise in embedded systems, CAN protocols, and electrical/hydraulic schematics

Hands-on experience with CANalyzer, LabVIEW, Glyphworks, and MATLAB/Simulink. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. In-depth knowledge of hydraulics, engines, drivetrains, electrical systems, electronics, and HVAC

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with heavy equipment, dealer environments, and customer interaction. Ability to work independently with a clean driving record
