​​As a Technical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in integrating internal C/C++ software modules into embedded Linux systems used in agricultural equipment for precision farming applications. Your responsibilities will include developing, debugging, and maintaining software, assisting with system engineering to ensure a holistic system implementation, and producing robust code with comprehensive testing. You will apply automation techniques throughout the software lifecycle process and work in an agile setup within a scrum team. Collaboration with mechanical and electrical teams will be essential to create effective solutions.​ 

 

Your Impact 

  • Integrate internal C/C++ software modules into an embedded Linux system used on agricultural equipment for precision farming applications  

  • Develop, debug, and maintain software. Assist with system engineering to ensure a holistic system implementation. Produce robust code, including tests on different levels  

  • Apply automation techniques for automation of the whole software lifecycle process  

  • Work in an agile setup within a scrum team  

  • Cooperate with mechanical and electrical teams to make a solution possible 

 

Your Experience and Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar through experience. Experience developing software for agricultural machinery  

  • 3-5 years of experience working in embedded systems or other resource constraint systems. 3+ year's experience developing in C/C++. Demonstrated proficiency in C/C++ 

  • 2+ year's experience in using the Qt framework including QML  

  • 2+ year's experience developing on the Linux operating system and running it on embedded processors. Experience with typical Bus systems (CAN, Ethernet, 100baseTX / 100baseT1).  

  • Knowledge of software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
