The Quality Inspector/ Team Lead inspects parts/materials received from other AGCO plants and/or from outside vendors for compliance with specifications. He/she also inspects dealer-returned parts/materials to determine if they can be returned to stock. Audits warehouse picking and packing processes to ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements. Works from detailed specifications, written and/or oral instructions, blueprints and/or diagrams and utilizes a variety of precision instruments. Completes reports (e.g., Supplier Quality Report, Quality Defect Report) to document quality problems identified during audits and inspections, and collaborates with Supplier Quality Assurance, Operations, Purchasing, Materials, and vendor personnel to resolve such problems. Must be licensed by the Company before operating manually controlled and electrically powered equipment (e.g., forklifts, electric pallet jack, etc.)  Maintenance of accurate records and conformance to company reporting policies and procedures are required.

As a Team Leader, you will lead tasks including but not limited to check in, matching, sorting, packing, processing, and all other functions to support processing outbound/Inbound orders. Use of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Radio frequency devices (RF’s) may be required to conduct processing of material, and to maintain inventory integrity. 

 

Your Impact

  • Inspect parts/materials received from other AGCO plants and/or from outside vendors for compliance with product specifications.
  • Analyze supplier dimensional inspection reports as a part of first article inspections.
  •  Inspect dealer-returned parts to determine if they can be returned to stock.
  • Audit warehouse put-away, picking and packing processes to ensure that quality, quantity, and packing methods are following established procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate the cause of customer complaints, conduct inspections to ensure customer satisfaction, and recommend corrective actions to avoid future issues.
  • Use detailed specifications, written and/or oral instructions, blueprints and/or diagrams to accurately perform inspection tasks.
  • Utilize a variety of precision instruments and performs shop math calculations to conduct thorough inspections of various parts/materials.
  • Manually and/or mechanically move parts/materials to and from specified locations for inspection.
  • Operate various powered equipment (e.g., forklift, Taylor Dunn stock chaser) as necessary.
  •  Maintain accurate records in compliance with company reporting policies and procedures.
  • Utilize computer systems to locate and move parts for inspection and to update and maintain inspection status and history.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. 
  • Follow company standards and legal regulations to ensure safe and positive work atmosphere. 
  • Teach, train, and communicate safety, quality, and productivity standards.
  • Motivate and engage operational staff and associates to ensure facility results are achieved in a high energy, engaging environment.
  • Solve daily operational problems with a can-do approach.
  • Ability to open and close facility without supervision (Key Holder)
  • Ability to arm and dis-arm security system.
  • Flexible to cover other shifts when necessary.
  • Flexible for overtime coverage, but not limited to Weekends and Holidays without supervision.
  • Locate Bin Denials

 

Your Experience and Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent work experience. Additional academic work in quality, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience working in quality inspecting/auditing required.
  • Three to twelve months of relevant experience working in Outbound/Inbound operation.

Supervisory Responsibilities

 

The team leader will set-up work areas, direct workflow, allocate resources, and improve processes within a workgroup. The team leader will report to the Warehouse Supervisor and will not have any disciplinary / corrective action authority.
