AGCO is currently seeking a Sr Design Engineer – Software to join our team in Jackson, MN. The Design Engineer – Software will play a key part in leading development and documenting software solutions for AGCO. Additionally, the Design Engineer – Software will be doing this in a manner that ensures superior product performance, durability, reliability, quality, and serviceability to the worldwide marketplace.

Responsibilities of the Sr. Design Engineer – Software:

- Develop, debug, and maintain software

- Assist with system to ensure a holistic system implementation

- Capture requirements and specifications and apply them to robust, C and

- Write and for anything that needs coding, including: Applications, Modules, tests, Network Programming, Byte Protocols, HTTP API’s.

- Work on a variety of equipment, including RoGator, TerraGator, and track tractors

- Work closely with the Scrum Leader to ensure compliance with the appropriate AGILE methods

- Work closely with the Scrum Leader to plan and execute Sprints

- Design Solutions with teams physically located in other countries


Required Qualifications of the Design Engineer – Software:

- 3+ years’ experience with software development using

- 3+ years’ experience working with OOP (Object-Oriented Programming)

- 0-3 years’ experience working on an AGILE software team


Preferred Qualifications of the Design Engineer – Software:

- 3+  years experience working with CAN protocols including SAE J1939, UDS, and ISO 11783

- 3+ years experience with Linux application development

- 3+ years experience with HTTP API design


Education of the Design Engineer – Software:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
