Who We Are Looking For

AGCO is currently seeking a Validation Engineering Technician to join our Engineering team in Jackson, MN. The Validation Engineering Technician will work cooperatively with the Validation Engineering team in implementation of product test programs.  Additionally, the Validation Engineering Technician will work on testing any component of the AGCO products manufactured onsite, including sprayers, tractors, and fertilizers.  The Validation Engineering Technician will spend approximately 75% of their time hands on with the equipment and the balance working on reports.

 

What You Will Do

  • Works directly for test engineer
  • Installs instrumentation
  • Swaps parts
  • Helps run tests
  • Applies in-depth knowledge of computer applications and test processes to accomplish testing requirements. This position is highly competent in the use of instrumentation, data acquisition, and test standards.
  • Identify issues during the prototype phase and work with engineering to solve issues found during testing
  • Travel domestic locations is a possibility

 

What You Will Bring

  • Associates Degree in related field, Mechanics Certificate, 4 years previous heavy equipment mechanic,  4 years previous test technician experience, or applicable experience
  • Must be able to work with hand tools
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Ability to operate equipment & machinery
  • Ability to lift heavy objects up 50 lbs

 

A Plus If You Have

  • Experience with diagnostic tools
  • Strong problem solving, planning, communication, team involvement, and people skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be highly self-motivated
  • Ability to work with small parts in a detailed manner
  • Knowledge of soldering wires
  • Familiarity with AMP dry boxes
  • Familiarity with RoGator and TerraGator machines
