Manager- Supply Chain

This position will lead a Supply Chain team that is responsible for the on-time-delivery of components to the assembly departments, through: the generation and management of the Master Production Schedule(s), generation and management materials Purchase or Manufacturing Orders, and the generation and management of the materials forecasts through Planning Bill of Materials. In addition, the Sr. Manager, Supply Chain will be responsible for inventory control, shipping / receiving, warehousing, kitting, and distribution of materials to efficiently support a OEM assembly plant. This position will provide leadership and direction to the department to insure that internal and external customer needs are supported effectively in an efficient, safe, timely, and cost effective manner.

Develop common objectives and shared action plans that are complimentary to Regional plans for the Jackson Supply Chain Organization -

Meet build plans and sales forecasts by developing production and/or materials planning and scheduling systems. This will need to be accomplished through the optimization of resources including labor, equipment, and inventory. -

Develop and drive supplier improvement action plans. - Responsible for the on-time delivery of materials from suppliers to Jackson -

Manage inventory levels including Raw Material, In-Transit, and WIP -

Manage inventory by determining and maintaining optimum inventory and cost levels based on sales forecasts vs. targeted inventory levels. -

Manage all receiving, distribution, and warehousing functions to maintain smooth flow of purchased and manufactured products. -

The ongoing optimization of warehouse design, definition of functional requirements, and the applications of resources.

  • 5-7 years experience as senior manager within the Supply Chain function with career experience in all of the core supply chain functions -
  • Demonstrated leadership, staff development and change management skills -
  • Working knowledge of SAP or Warehouse Management Systems a plus -
  • Proven experience in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures. -
  • Prior experience in budget preparation and P&L management preferred
