Manufacturing Engineer

Position is responsible for managing a Manufacturing Engineering Department for an Assembly Business Unit.  Responsibilities for this department include daily production support, current product change management, and other projects supporting safety, quality, productivity, and capacity.   



  • Manage the flow of ECN’s and MCN’s of Tractor current product changes.
  • Support OMS development and management for best usage and user friendliness on production floor
  • Manage support resources to efficiently respond to any requirement related to the product quality and the production process.
  • Assist with the development of long and short term production support strategies.
  • Drive the efforts to benchmark and implement “best in class” support, manufacturing, and assembly processes.
  • Responsible for the direction, development, and review of the Process Technicians under your daily direction
  • Determine and maintain manufacturing engineering objectives and goals that are coordinated with the business unit, product and customer expectations in mind.
  • Help steer the generational product plans for improved safety, quality, manufacturability, and reduce product and labor cost.  
  • Research and develop new processes and manufacturing systems to improve quality, productivity, and reduce operating costs.
  • Responsible for all aspects of project management on assigned projects including but not limited to the following: schedule development, schedule adherence, status monitoring, and budget compliance.
  • Keep abreast of new development pertinent to one’s job responsibilities through contacts with professional societies, educational centers, tool and machine manufacturers, technical papers, journals, periodicals and other sources.



  • Requires effective leadership skills for managing Manufacturing Engineering processes for an Assembly Business Unit
  • Engineering experience in various support functions to acquire sufficient background and technique to perform job responsibilities.
  • College degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and to provide leadership for change and improvement.
  • Strong communication, problem solving, planning, and interpersonal skills with a high level of enthusiasm and willingness to learn
  • Detail oriented, organized, ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
