The Platform Project Engineer is responsible for leading a design engineering team during NPI projects with a Farmer First mindset while focusing on exceeding customer expectations. Achieving this task can only be accomplished by partnering with a cross functional team comprised of like-minded experts from Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing and suppliers to deliver industry leading solutions while maximizing customer value. The Platform Project Engineer must take a leadership role in the problem resolution process and be able to work effectively with individuals from all disciplines. Travel to foreign and domestic AGCO sites; dealers and customers may be required.
Your Impact:

Lead Design Engineering project team using robust and consistent processes to achieve committed targets for projects. Develop multi-year project plans including schedules and budgets

Track project deliverables and expenses to ensure quality, financial, and time metrics are met. Coordinate use case analysis and new product specifications with the Design Engineering teams and align with cross functional departments

Conduct project control meetings and update project plans (schedule and budget estimates). Compile and present periodic project status reports to interdepartmental teams and management teams. Organize and facilitate design reviews as well as DFMEA sessions

Provide support for prototype and pre-series builds, lab and field validation, and issue resolution. Coordinate the development of initial project Bill of Materials and validation requirements

Develop and implement new processes to improve the timing, Quality, and cost of NPI projects. Communicate with Design Engineering sites in other countries to ensure global alignment
Your Experience and Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years of experience developing new agricultural or off highway equipment and A minimum of 2 years of experience working with new product introduction processes and tools.

Excellent written and oral communication skills. Able to lead and motivate a diverse team of professionals

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
Preferred qualification:
-
Familiarity with AGCO’s AMPIP process or similar phase gate NPI process. Experienced with Windchill and Creo by PTC.

Project Management Professional certification. Working understanding of mobile machine electronics and CAN based networks
Your Compensation:
- This position will pay within the range of $85k-125k, based on experience. This position is eligible for a bonus based on 10% of the compensation.
