As an AGCO Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will conduct research and development focused on process and continuous improvement in the areas of quality, productivity, and cost in manufacturing. Your responsibilities will include assisting with new product introduction activities, suggesting design improvements to enhance manufacturability, providing technical assistance, and engaging in lean manufacturing and project management.

 

Intern Program 

The AGCO Engineering internship program aims to identify promising undergraduate students and provide them with robust and meaningful engineering projects that can be completed within a 10–12 week timeframe. Projects will require mechanical knowledge, research, and collaboration with other engineers. Internships are onsite in Jackson, Minnesota during the summer from May 2025 through August 2025.

 

Your Impact: 

  • Identify and eliminate waste in all aspects of the manufacturing processes.
  • Facilitate and drive Continuous Improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
  • Perform line balancing activities to optimize the utilization of our assembly line process.
  • Provide feedback to engineering on how to reduce costs from prerelease design.
  • Participate on behalf of manufacturing to influence design to enhance the manufacturability of applicable designs.

 

Your Experience and Qualifications

  • Current student enrolled in an accredited 4-year college or university in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous internship experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in using 3-D modeling software to identify issues, summarize data, and present information effectively.
  • Ability to follow instructions and deliver quality work on time. Ask questions and seek clarification when needed. Stay organized and on-task.
  • Professional mindset and strong communication skills.
