Supply Chain Analyst

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Supply Chain Analyst assists with execution of the production system through tactical support of the planning team and improvement of current processes and/or tools. This position will report directly to the Material Planning Manager

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Responsible for minimizing obsolete inventory
  • Responsible for dispositioning non-current inventory
  • Support phase-in date management of Engineering changes
  • Manage SNC (Supplier Network Collaboration) alignment and synchronization
  • Drives the development, implementation and/or improvement of planning tools and processes to improve the performance of the Planning Team.

 Systems Knowledge

  • Use of tools for analysis, data mining, statistics, spreadsheet calculation, etc.
  • Use of ERP system (i.e., SAP, SNC, MES)

Internal collaborator/ Supplier Management

  • Develop and maintain material planning assumptions in conjunction with purchasing, planning, manufacturing operations, logistics/warehousing and commercial teams, including safety stocks, lead times, order quantities, campaign, supplier delivery performance or production strategy, batch yields and cycle times.
  • Report on excess items and slow-moving inventory to the parties concerned.
  • Measure, analyze and report key process metrics, and monitor adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Strong interaction with local logistics management

Process improver/ core

  • Improve and upgrade material planning systems and reporting.
  • Analyze supplier performance, inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste or optimize customer service.

  1. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of two to four (2-4) years hands on work experience using SAP or equivalent MRP systems in a manufacturing environment required
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite software including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with SAP, SNC, and MES is preferred
