Technical Validation Engineer

Who We Are Looking For

AGCO is looking for innovative Technical Validation Engineers in Jackson, Minnesota who will validate Crop Care products, ensuring that AGCO provides industry leading customer satisfaction. With a farmer first mindset, you will  plan, develop and perform  field vaildation tests design systems and components to make sure machine performance and durability exceeds farmers’ expectations, delivering the best return on investment for our customers.

 

What You Will Do

  • Plan, coordinate and perform field validation tests for new and current products.
  • Estimate and control budget for project validations.
  • Validate performance, durability and agronomic benefits of new and current products.
  • Communicate with customers, dealers and key partners to run prototypes and collect feedback.
  • Keep prototype maintenance schedule on time, collect samples according to project requests and register all events and related activities.
  • Develop quality improvement methods in order to ensure solid, reliable and safe field test procedures.
  • Support the engineering team on root cause analysis of field problems and suggest possible solutions and/or containment actions.

 

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering or related field and a minimum of 4 years of engineering experience in field tests.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with problem resolution analysis and stress/strain/fatigue.
  • Ability to read and interpret order tracks, spectograms and order spectra.

 

A Plus If You Have

  • Knowledge of or experience with agricultural products or off-highway equipment
  • Experience working with welding or fabrication or working with steel parts
  • Ability to work in a team environment
