Test Engineer Job

AGCO is currently seeking a Test Engineer to join our Test Engineering team in Jackson, MN. The Test Engineer will participate in the development and implementation of the product test programs. Additionally, the Test Engineer will work on testing any component of the AGCO products manufactured onsite, including sprayers, tractors, and fertilizers.  The Test Engineer will also contribute to the development of testing concepts, standards, facility improvements, and practices The Test Engineer spends equal time hands on with the equipment in the test lab as well as writing reports.

 

Note: relocation assistance is available to the Jackson, MN area for this position. The Test Engineer may travel up to 20% of time.

 

Responsibilities of the Test Engineer:

  • Working hands-on with electrical, hydraulic, and temperature test equipment, collected and analyzing data in the test lab and out in the field.
  • Evaluate test feasibility and coordinate work efforts to meet project requirements
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of computer applications and test processes to accomplish testing requirements
  • Analyze collected data and write reports to effectively communicate and archive technical information
  • Work with design engineers, build technicians, suppliers, and the program team to develop a world class product.  

Required Qualifications of the Test Engineer:

  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Ability to operate equipment & machinery
  • Ability to lift heavy objects up 50 lbs

 

Preferred Qualifications of the Test Engineer:

  • 1+ years of experience working with 3D CAD Software/CREO
  • 1+ years of experience using test engineering related software including eDaq, Glyphworks, LMS Test Lab, and LMS SCADAS
  • 1+ years of experience working with large agricultural and/or off-highway equipment
  • 1+ years of experience with pressure transducers, thermocouples, flow meters, current shunts, accelerometers, and strain gauges
  • The ability to speak a second language, ideally Spanish, German, French, or Finnish

 

Education of the Test Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or Agricultural Engineering
  • In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, 4+ years of experience as a Test Engineer will be considered
