AGCO is seeking a talented Welder / Engineering Technician to join our Engineering Department. This role is ideal for a skilled welder who is interested in cross‑training into additional manufacturing disciplines and supporting a flexible, team‑based engineering and prototype environment. You will play a key role in building, modifying, and supporting prototype and low‑volume components while providing coverage across manufacturing processes as needed.
Your Impact
- Perform high‑quality welding and fabrication to support engineering builds, prototypes, and product development activities.
- Set up and operate welding fixtures to ensure accurate alignment and secure positioning of components during assembly.
- Review and interpret engineering prints, models, and technical drawings to ensure precise execution of design specifications.
- Locate and position parts accurately based on engineering requirements, ensuring proper fit, orientation, and weld readiness.
- Cross‑train and support additional manufacturing operations such as waterjet cutting, press brake forming, and basic machining to provide coverage during vacations or peak workload periods.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to build, modify, and test components, ensuring quality, functionality, and continuous improvement.
Your Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of welding experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or fabrication environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with strong foundational technical skills relevant to welding and fabrication.
- Interest in learning and cross‑training in additional manufacturing processes such as waterjet operation, press brake operation, and machining; prior experience in these areas is a plus but not required.
- Proficiency in O365 tools (Outlook, Excel, Teams) for communication, documentation, and collaboration across teams.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers, technicians, and other departments.
- Experience with CREO or similar CAD programs, as well as SAP for documentation, part tracking, or workflow support.

Your Compensation
This position will be within the range of $41,100 - $82,000 based on experience. This position is eligible for a bonus based on 5% compensation.
