Who We Are Looking For
 

• Pro-actively manage all purchasing activity for the extensive and diverse product portfolio of this high Stock Keeping Unit international wholesale distribution business.
• Cultivate and maintain effective supplier relationships and leverage the consolidated group position to improve and deliver value for the business.
• With an overall focus on reducing total cost of material supply, balance purchasing opportunity and risk and drive improvements in service and quality performance throughout the regional supplier base.

What You Will Do
 

• Responsible for delivery of Purchasing cost reductions through effective sourcing and negotiation with suppliers.
• Work with individual commodity managers on global sourcing strategy. Identify and communicate supplier diversity opportunities for a given commodity.
• Developing supplier relationships in existing and new territories. Continuous search of new suppliers according to different commodity strategies.
• Day to day supporting the internal customers such as Sales, Customer Service, Procurement teams by providing a high-quality service and being responsive to their requirements including efficient and effective turnaround of request for quotations
• Working closely with the Sales & Marketing department to ensure sales growth opportunity is captured on a timely manner.
• Working closely with the Quality department to ensure all suppliers adhere to the Group quality standards and warranty agreements.
• Working closely with the Procurement department to ensure all suppliers adhere to the Group supply agreements and maintain high level of customer service satisfaction

What You Will Bring
 

• University degree required; additional benefits with academic training in business, economics and/or engineering
• Ideally 3+ years of experience in a purchasing preferably in an automotive or agriculture industry; international experience is preferred
• Strong interpersonal & communication skills at all levels within the business and in a cross functional organization
• Self-motivated and hard worker,
• Analytical/structured thinking, with an ability to develop multi-faceted plans / actions
• Strong planning and organizational skills,
• Proactive, result-oriented and strong problem-solving skills,
• Willing to work in a dynamic environment within a young growing organization
• Passionate for personal improvement and challenge the business with high energy
• Willing and able to travel extensively (to be an active driver)
• Good command of written and spoken English,
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Excel
• Experience with ERP systems is a benefit
• Completed military service for male applicant
• Living on Asian side of Istanbul (Workplace is in GOSB – Gebze)
