Job Title: Manager, Procurement Engine Components EME

Job Summary:
The Manager, Procurement plays a key role in executing category strategies, managing supplier relationships, and leading a team of Category Buyers to drive cost savings, supplier performance, and procurement efficiency. Reporting to the Global Category Manager, this role ensures smooth operational execution of sourcing strategies at a global or regional level.
The Manager, Procurement collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Supply Chain, to ensure alignment between procurement activities and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Execution & Category Management
- Lead the operational execution of procurement activities within a category, ensuring efficiency and alignment with category strategy.
- Drive cost savings initiatives, supplier negotiations, and contract management to optimize procurement performance.
- Ensure category sourcing decisions support cost, quality, and delivery targets.
- Implement supplier performance monitoring to ensure high-quality service, timely delivery, and adherence to SLAs.
- Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, value engineering, and process improvements.
Supplier Management & Negotiation
- Manage relationships with key suppliers, ensuring strong collaboration and performance improvements.
- Support supplier negotiations, price agreements, and long-term contracts.
- Work closely with the Category Buyers to ensure supplier escalations are handled efficiently.
- Monitor supplier risk and work with stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor a team of Category Buyers, ensuring strong execution of procurement tasks and professional development.
- Provide guidance on sourcing strategies, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management.
- Drive a high-performance culture within the procurement team, ensuring accountability and results-driven execution.
Financial & Performance Management
- Own and track procurement KPIs, including cost savings, supplier performance, and sourcing cycle time.
- Ensure procurement activities align with budget targets and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Report procurement performance, cost drivers, and risk factors to the Global Category Manager.
Compliance & Process Optimization
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, legal compliance, and ethical sourcing guidelines.
- Drive process improvements and automation within procurement, leveraging digital tools and data analytics.
- Implement best practices in purchasing, contract management, and supplier engagement.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and R&D to align procurement activities with business needs.
- Act as the procurement representative in cross-functional meetings, ensuring procurement strategies are well-integrated.
- Support new product launches, sourcing projects, and cost-reduction initiatives in collaboration with internal teams.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
- 5+ years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience, preferably in a global manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record in supplier management, cost savings initiatives, and procurement strategy execution.
- Experience leading teams and driving procurement operations at a regional or global level.
- Strong knowledge of contract negotiation, supplier risk management, and spend analysis.
- Familiarity with SAP, eSourcing tools, and digital procurement platforms.

- Process Optimization & Digital Tools: Knowledge of automation, procurement analytics, and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Additional Information
- Travel: Up to 20% international travel may be required for supplier visits and procurement/cross functional alignment.
- Languages: English and Finnish required; additional languages (French, German, Italian, Portuguese) are a plus.
