The Category Buyer will be responsible to lead day by day activities for ~20 suppliers from Iron Castings category. All suppliers are based @Brazil delivering to AGCO Factories @Mogi das Cruzes/SP, Canoas/RS, Ibiruba/RS and Santa Rosa/RS.

Direct responsibility of annual purchasing volume of ~15MUSD. This position aims to identify cost reductions, ensure supplier's good performance (cost, delivery, quality) and identify opportunities for resourcing and/or second source.

This position belongs to a global team of  >10 team-members across the globe and has direct report to Global Category Manager responsible for Castings & Machined components. This position will play a key role in market-test analysis ensuring Long Term Agreements w/ strategic suppliers

Your Impact

• Develop and execute sub-category sourcing strategies aligned with Americas Castings strategy;
• Reach Cost savings targets conducting market research and supplier benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities;
• Identify best sources for part quotation on global level (mainly LCC ones) ensuring quotations on time/cost/delivery selecting best supplier for AGCO needs;
• Take the lead for Long Term Agreements managing supplier negotiations to achieve cost savings, optimize payment terms, and drive value creation;
• As "one face to the supplier", lead the negotiations for all regions on behalf of the global team, when applicable.

Your Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably), Business Administration or any other business area;
• Advanced communication skills in English is the minimum requirement;
• Knowledge in MS Office, mainly Excel and PPT;
• Negotiation experience in Purchasing (2 year minimum), hands-on, result driven and good Interpersonal skills;
• Experience and knowledge in Castings category will be a differential.
