Job Summary

We are looking for a focused and proactive Supplier Quality Engineer - Specialist. Responsibilities include evaluating the entry of new suppliers into the AGCO supply chain, systematically monitoring the quality of products delivered by our suppliers, reviewing engineering and manufacturing specifications, validating the development of high-risk items performed by suppliers and quickly resolving quality issues. To succeed as a Supplier Quality Engineer, you must have excellent analytical and technical skills, as well as interpersonal skills of active listening, ethics, empathy, critical thinking, and conflict resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Suppliers evaluation. Perform audits on potential suppliers based on AGCO requirements.
  • Systematically evaluate and monitor the current suppliers of the AGCO base.
  • When required, establish with the supplier a quick and effective action plan to solve problems.
  • Evaluate and classify risk for the development of new products in our suppliers. - Perform technical review of AGCO requirements and standards for the development of items classified as high risk
  • Apply technical review on AGCO requirements and standards and monitor developments for items classified as high Risk at suppliers
  • Lead supplier process improvement through robust action plans and technical meetings integrated with AGCO manufacturing and purchasing teams.
  • Quality Engineer must be the technical reference for their respective suppliers within AGCO, communicating transparently, clarifying doubts, aligning processes, maintaining the business partnership and sharing the culture so that we strive together for the satisfaction of the final Customer.

 

Experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required (Mechanical, Materials or Production Engineering).
  • 2+ years of experience in quality and manufacturing processes;
  • Required knowledge in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
  • Practical knowledge of the Methodology for Analyzing and Solving Problems and related tools is required.
  • Auditor experience required. VDA auditor certificate is desired.
  • Working level English language skills (written and spoken) are requirements.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint; Tableau experience is beneficial, but not required.
  • Strong communication skills are required, as well as the ability to communicate into a cross-functional environment.
