The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Technician plays a key role in supporting a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace. This position assists with the implementation and administration of environmental, health, and safety programs designed to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements while promoting a culture of continuous improvement. The EHS Technician works closely with employees, supervisors, and leadership to identify workplace hazards, investigate incidents, conduct training, and support initiatives that reduce risk and protect employees, facilities, and the environment.
Your Impact
- Conduct new hire safety orientation and other safety training as needed.
- Recommend process and product safety features that will reduce employees' exposure to work hazards.
- Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation and compliance.
- Report and review findings from incident and near-miss reporting.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies including OSHA, EPA, and DOT.
- Assist supervisors in following up on incidents, near misses, safety concerns.
- Work with supervisors to increase safe work practices in their area(s).
- Responds to emergency situations involving employee injury and property damage incidents; prepares reports of findings and submits recommendations.
- Walk throughout the facility interacting with employees, increasing safety morale.
- Conduct monthly safety team meetings.
- Transcribe, review and post safety team meeting minutes.
- Deliver reviews of safety team progress to the safety manager.
- Oversee powered industrial truck safety training.
Your Experience and Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills.
- Problem solving / Decision making skills
- Results / Detail oriented, able to work with a sense of urgency.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and work from elevated platforms and or ladder.
- The employee must understand and comply with AGCO Safety guidelines and housekeeping practices, trainings and wear appropriate PPE when necessary.

Your Compensation
This position will pay within the range of $23.00/hr-$30.00/hr, based on experience.

Your Workplace
You will work onsite at our Morton facility to team up with your wonderful AGCO/PTx colleagues.
This position is based in a warehouse/distribution environment where temperature may vary. This role is fast-paced and physically active, requiring regular lifting, bending, pushing and pulling, as well as standing and walking for extended periods. Team members must be comfortable working around warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks while following all safety procedures. Some overtime, weekend, or holiday hours may be required based on business needs.
