About the Role:
Responsible for all equipment in the Operations center in Morton, IL. The facility will be a brand-new state of the art operations center with manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution operations. There will be several highly automated areas including a large-scale GTP (goods to person) system and other systems running in concert to manufacture and fulfill orders for our global customers.
The ideal candidate will have related field experience and will be a good administrator as well as a hands-on leader that can prevent equipment breakdowns by executing predictive and preventive maintenance. They will be resourceful and knowledgeable to solve equipment failures promptly. The manager will work as part of the operations team and will have a team of maintenance technicians under their responsibility. As needed, the Maintenance manager will work with contractors and vendors to keep the equipment operational in the building.
What would I be doing?

Lead maintenance team to keep equipment running in optimal conditions

Responsible for installation, service, repair, and upkeep of all equipment in Ops center facility

Creating and implementing maintenance procedures. and ensure they are executed

Conducting regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems

Responsible for daily management of the maintenance team (up to 12 people)

Mange vendors related to equipment maintenance and projects

Manage projects as needed related to equipment upgrades or building needs

Tracking expenses and overseeing the budget for maintenance

Ensuring all department workers adhere to the safety policies and procedures.

Assigning repair schedules and evaluating repair cost estimates

Documenting and preparing daily progress reports and maintenance logs

Overseeing equipment stock and placing orders for new supplies and spare parts as necessary

Other tasks assigned by manager
What must I have?
-
5 years working experience in manufacturing industry, supply chain or production planning

Understanding of Fortna systems and auto store (cardex) equipment preferred
-
Strong machine maintenance background

Must work on site
-
Ability to be available on site as needed during maintenance windows or equipment breakdowns

College degree, preferred
