Job Responsibilities:

  • In this job, a portion of the time may be spent working in assembly or packing when necessary
  • Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks
  • Monitor the workflow of various packing or assembly lines to ensure all is running smoothly
  • Ensure that all workstations are adequately stocked with all necessary components
  • Help ensure that workstations are free of unnecessary items like unneeded parts, trash and empty boxes
  • Releases Work Orders to the Production floor as necessary
  • Assist with setting up Work Centers in a timely and organized manner, as well as tearing down the Work Center when the Work Order is complete while also training other employees to do the same
  • Maintain housekeeping conditions as prescribed by the area
  • Ability to utilize the p-track system and train new employees in learning the process
  • Ability to work in GP and Scale, releasing and confirming jobs with no supervision and continue learning ways to troubleshoot the system
  • Has some responsibility to organize work to achieve the goals for the department
  • Awareness of safety and report unsafe practices or concerns as needed and help enforce and model safety within the department
  • Perform various duties based on departmental need
  • Aid in ensuring that quality is maintained

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Has worked with Precision Planting for at least 1 year either as a full-time employee or a contract employee
  • Maintains or exceeds required expectations concerning attendance
  • Maintains or exceeds a high level of commitment and team atmosphere and foster that culture among the other employees
  • Continues to learn new skills and demonstrates a high knowledge of procedures within production
  • Able to answer questions when asked and assist in training employees on various jobs
  • Able to work with team to foster an environment for process improvement and looking for ways to improve efficiency
  • Has the leadership skills and job competency to lead a workstation
  • Ability to perform the duties of a Product Support Specialist if needed
  • 2 plus years of experience and/or training in Assembly, Manufacturing, Shipping and/or Production
  • Free of any written disciplinary actions for at least 1 year

Physical Requirements

  • Continuous walking, standing, and moving about
  • Frequently lifts, carriers or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Repetitive movement of hands and arms
  • Full range of motion to reach, bend or kneel as needed
  • Ability to operate hand tools
