REGION MANAGER PRECISION PLANTING 
(Russia - Saratov Region)

 

We are seeking for highly motivated individual to serve as a Region Manager (Precision Planting) in the Saratov Region of Russia. This individual will work remotely in territory. This is an exciting and challenging role that allows you to directly educate farmers while at the same time developing our dealer network and driving sales growth through them.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Learn and validate the agronomic issues facing farmers in Russia
    • Responsible for setting up and executing plot protocols for general agronomic education (singulation, downforce, depth, hybrids, population, nitrogen, etc.).
    • Operate a plot planter during planting season to help validate new equipment solutions locally.
    • Collaborate with Precision Planting’s R&D Agronomy team regarding design concepts based on detailed field testing.
    • Evaluate and document local plot results during the growing season and at harvest.
  • Develop growth and product penetration strategies and tactics to grow Precision Planting sales in specified region
    • Recruit new dealers who have a passion for our agronomic approach of teaching.
    • Train and support existing dealers to grow sales and service capability through our agronomic-centric approach.
    • Plan, manage, and present at agronomic-focused events (such as field days, planter clinics & farm shows) to build awareness of the yield-robbing agronomic problems that farmers face and how Precision Planting can resolve those problems.
  • Manage and develop approximately 5-15 dealer accounts
    • Effectively communicate sales and marketing initiatives to dealers
    • Effectively manage distribution channel to maximize sales while maintaining strong relationships with dealers and growers
    • Understand and promote enterprise business strategies that support long term vision for the company
    • Gain channel buy-in to product distribution strategies
    • Achieve alignment with dealers and corporate strategy to ensure sales and service succes

 

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Provide product demonstration presentations, planter maintenance presentations, and other presentations as needed by the dealer team.
  • Provide order support for specific region during selling season
  • Provide technical (level 1) support during planting & harvesting seasons
  • Travel to dealer locations, farm shows, and other events is required and varies by territory
    • Travel can range from 25% to 50% based on the season

 

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

 

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Agriculture or Business studies or other degree with agriculture experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience in sales/account management or 1+ years working in the agriculture industry
  • Languages: Russian (fluent), English (fluent)
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, G-mail, & Google docs.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal (presentations to audiences of 30-50 is common)
  • Positive attitude & highly motivated

 

Desired Skills/Experience

  • Experience in Agriculture or Precision Agriculture sales positions is strongly desired
