Job Summary:
We are seeking a high-energy, results-oriented Director of Procurement to lead our India-based sourcing operations with a primary focus on accelerating the MF Transform initiative. This critical leadership role is designed to eliminate bottlenecks, drive agility, and shift sourcing execution from traditional sequential timelines to aggressive parallel workflows. You will be the "engine" behind the India sourcing strategy, ensuring that supply continuity and part approvals are achieved with world-class speed
Job Responsibilities:
MF Transform Acceleration: Drive the execution of critical items to improve the timing of approved parts. Make strategic decisions to move projects in parallel rather than sequence to drastically reduce time-to-market. Regional Leadership & Escalation: Act as the primary point of escalation and alignment for the MF India Sourcing Team. Provide high-level guidance on supplier engagement, negotiation, and long-term relationship leadership within the Indian market. Global Alignment: Lead synchronization with Global Category Directors (GCDs) and Global Category Managers (GCMs) to ensure regional India tactics align with global category strategies and the need for extreme agility. Supplier Quality & Engineering Partnership: Partner deeply with the Supplier Quality & Engineering (SQE) organization to accelerate Supplier Requirements Reviews (SRRs). Ensure timely validation and navigate the PPAP approval process with maximum efficiency. Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor KPIs for speed and effectiveness. Use project-level data to identify structural bottlenecks and implement corrective actions that enhance overall procurement velocity. Supply Continuity: Take ownership of supply continuity topics within India, managing risks and negotiating favorable terms that protect the organization against disruptions.
Minimum Qualifications :
Experience: 20+ years of progressive procurement or strategic sourcing experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the Indian manufacturing or industrial sector. Expertise: Proven track record in driving large-scale transformation initiatives and managing complex supplier ecosystems. Technical Skills: Deep familiarity with Categories in Automotive or Ag. Sector as well as APQP, PPAP, and supplier quality validation processes. Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, or Business; MBA preferred. Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation, stakeholder management, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
