AGCO is looking to hire candidates for the position of Embedded Software Engineer - Low-Level SW (Operator Controls).
AGCO is investing in the future by expanding our embedded software development team for Electronic Control Units (ECUs) in mobile work machines. We are seeking a talented Software Application Developer to join our growing global engineering team.The ECUs you will work on are designed to control a broad variety of functions within Operator Controls and communicate seamlessly with other control units.
As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will develop and maintain the low-level software for ECUs used in Operator Controls across different brands, product sites, and vehicle types.
Your Impact (Key Responsibilities)
- Develop and optimize low-level software in C for ECUs, including bootloaders, device drivers, and HAL
- Create software for safety-critical control and regulation systems under real-time conditions using modern development environments (e.g. GitHub, CloudBees)
- Debug and analyze software behavior with debugging tools
- Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure software reliability and compliance with industry standards
- Optimize software for performance, memory, and power efficiency, Create and maintain documentation in accordance with ISO 25119 standards
Your Experience and Qualifications
- Completed studies (Bachelor / Master’s degree) in the fields of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a comparable education
- Ideally, 5+ years of professional experience in low-level software development
- Proficiency in software development with C/C++, Preferably, experience with ECUs in tractors and agricultural machinery
- Additional experience with microcontrollers for embedded real-time automotive applications is desired
- Strong commitment and ability to work collaboratively within an international team, Fluent English skills, both written and spoken
