AGCO is looking to hire candidates for the position of Validation Engineer FEA.
We are looking for a highly motivated and technically proficient FEA Engineer to join our engineering team, specializing in the design, simulation, validation, and certification of operator cabins for tractor and off-highway vehicle applications. This role is pivotal in ensuring operator safety, structural robustness, and compliance with international safety standards, directly influencing the reliability and market readiness of our products. As a Expert in Structural FEA Simulations, you will support machine platforms structures from concept through virtual validation. You will apply advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) techniques using ANSYS to simulate real-world scenarios, optimize structural performance, and reduce development cycles through virtual validation. Your work will be instrumental in achieving global homologation and regulatory compliance. This is a cross-functional supporting role requiring close collaboration with product design, manufacturing, testing, and compliance teams. This role demands a holistic engineering mindset, combining theoretical knowledge with practical experience in physical testing, data correlation, and design optimization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, testing, compliance, and product management to ensure that machine platform structures meet the highest standards of product reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Your Impact
- Support design, FEA simulation, and validation of machine platforms for tractors, harvesters, and other agricultural/off-road vehicles.
- Conduct FEA simulations using ANSYS Workbench
- Hands-on experience with FEA model setup, including meshing, material definition, boundary conditions, and load application
- Correlate FEA simulation results with physical test data, refining models to improve accuracy and confidence in simulation-based predictions.
- Knowledge of N code software tool
Your Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or equivalent.
- 6+years of experience in structural engineering with a strong focus
- Structural analysis for tractors Hands on ANSYS FEA tools
- Proven experience with correlation of FEA results to physical test data, including root-cause analysis and model refinement.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Creo & Windchill)
