PTx is a leading provider of steering, water management, planting, application and harvesting technology in the Precision Ag Industry. We design innovative products that solve yield-robbing issues for farmers. PTx consists of the PTx Trimble and Precision Planting brands. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a Southern Indiana and Kentucky Region Manager. This individual will work remotely in the territory. This is an exciting and challenging role that allows you to apply your experience to support our customers and dealers while driving sales.
Your Impact

Dealer Network Development: Recruit and enlist new dealers to ensure market coverage, train and support existing dealers to grow sales and service capability, and increase dealer engagement in selling and service activities related to PTx.

Sales Growth & Strategy: Consult dealer businesses to grow PTx sales, utilize lead generation and market data analysis tools to develop effective sales strategies, and forecast territory sales quarterly.

Marketing & Outreach: Plan, manage, and attend farm shows and other marketing functions to build product and brand awareness; plan, facilitate, and present at meetings and field days with 10–100 attendees throughout the year.

Relationship & Conflict Management: Develop strong relationships with key customer and dealer accounts, effectively manage distribution channel conflict to maximize sales while maintaining strong relationships with dealers and growers.

Training & Communication: Manage dealer training certifications, effectively communicate sales and marketing initiatives to dealers, and understand and promote enterprise business strategies that support the company’s long-term vision.
Your Experience and qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Agriculture, Business, or other fields with agricultural background; 3+ years in sales/account management or 1+ year in agriculture industry; experience in Agriculture or Precision Agriculture sales is strongly desired.

Gain channels buy-in to product distribution strategies; achieve alignment with dealers and corporate strategy to ensure success in sales, service, and customer experience; provide order support during selling season and technical (level 1) support during planting season.

Ability to communicate technical information to customers; excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations to audiences of up to 20-100; provide product demos, planter maintenance presentations, and other dealer-requested presentations.

Assist with sales support/help desk issues when in office; manage time effectively; proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); highly motivated and capable of handling multiple responsibilities.

Travel required to dealer locations, farm shows, and events, varying by territory; territory would consist of Southern Indiana and Kentucky; travel ranges from 50% to 60% depending on season and region.
