Director Internal Audit, EME

A permanent opportunity has arisen to lead the Internal Audit department for the EME region. This position will report into the Global Director Internal Audit.


Role Profile:

The Director Internal Audit EME is responsible for managing all non-IT Internal Audit activities for the region, including all GSI related activity.  This includes managing the EME IA cost center and budget, developing EME IA strategic plans, and managing the execution of the annual EME plan, as well as assisting with the development of the Global IA strategy, annual plan and execution of global audits.  This includes all financial, operational, and compliance areas within the business.  Because of this, the Director of IA EME will be expected to work closely with Senior Management of all departments in EME to understand their strategies and business operations identify risks to their operations and develop appropriate strategies to both audit and mitigate those risks.  The Director will be expected to work closely with the business to implement those mitigation plans into their operations. The Director IA EME will manage a team of financial and operational auditors and will work closely with the IT and other regional audit teams.  This position will directly supervise up to five internal positions and will also be responsible for up to 10-15 external co-sourced resources at any given time. The position will also serve as a liaison between the business process owners and KPMG, AGCO’s external audit firm.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide key input into the corporate and regional audit plan
  • Provide key input into the corporate and regional risk assessment
  • Pro-actively advise all EME Senior Staff, including the SVP and VP of Finance, on key risks and control issues, as well as provide potential mitigation plans and strategies for their operations
  • Assist in the design and implementation of mitigation plans or development of new business processes or operations
  • Manage all internal or co sourced audit resources, up to 20 individuals
  • Work with the Global Director of Internal Audit or development of the Global IA Plan and Strategy, Global Enterprise Risk Assessment and execution of selected Global Audits.
  • Development and training of internal staff both within EME and other regions when other regional staff are assigned to their audits.



Qualifications and Experience:
 

  • Ability to evidence extensive Audit experience is essential
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or Auditing; MBA desirable
  • CPA, CIA or CISA (or non US equivalents) is essential
  • Experience with Data Analytics is desirable
  • ‘Big 4’ Auditing experience is essential
  • Excellent knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley, Internal Controls, Risk Evaluation and Senior Management communications is essential
  • International business experience is essential
