The Senior Manager, Global Data Privacy and AI is responsible for providing legal and regulatory support to AGCO’s Data Privacy and AI governance and data-driven initiatives. The role’s main focus is on legal approval of AI use cases and risk together with data privacy compliance, ensuring that AI and data activities comply with applicable laws, regulatory expectations, and internal legal standards.
The role supports the AI Governance team from a legal perspective and provides legal review, challenge, and approval, with particular focus on privacy, protection of confidential information, regulatory risk, ethical considerations, and defensibility.
Your Impact

First review of new and existing AI use cases from a legal, privacy, and compliance perspective; identify risks and requirement for specialist review, recommend mitigation measures, and issue approvals or conditions with fully documented rationale

Provide legal guidance to support and further develop the enterprise AI governance framework, ensuring that policies, standards, and decision‑making processes align with legal, regulatory, and ethical requirements

Deliver hands‑on data privacy advisory work for digital products and AI initiatives, support privacy‑by‑design activities, address complex data protection questions, and provide legal guidance during privacy incidents and breach assessments

Lead and develop a team of Privacy Compliance Specialists and Paralegals while driving training, awareness, and knowledge‑sharing on legal obligations related to AI and data privacy

Contribute to compliance reviews and audits, identify legal and regulatory risks related to AI and data use, support remediation efforts, and collaborate with global and regional Legal teams to update internal guidance and standards
Your Experience and Qualifications

Degree in Law and at least 5 years post qualification experience or an equivalent legal/compliance qualification, combined with substantial experience in data privacy, regulatory compliance, or legal governance within a global organization

Proven track record in reviewing and advising on digital, data‑driven, or AI‑related initiatives from a legal risk and compliance perspective

Strong knowledge of global data protection laws and emerging AI regulatory frameworks, with the ability to interpret and apply complex legal requirements pragmatically

Demonstrated ability to assess legal risks, challenge and approve use cases, and communicate clearly and confidently with both technical and business stakeholders

Experience leading and developing compliance or legal professionals while maintaining a hands‑on approach at the intersection of law, technology, and governance
