About the Role:
As a Warehouse Operative, you'll complete all warehouse tasks required to meet operational excellence and comply with all workplaces and OH&S standards.
The position entails picking and dispatching of orders and includes receiving and loading of parts and accessories into containers or trucks, and operating machinery.
To create impact,
- Pick and pack spare parts for dispatch, ensure accurate picking and dispatching of parts, as required both physically and using the ERP system.
- Receive goods, including undertaking put a-ways both physically and using the ERP system.
- Ensure correct parts are received and located correctly into location.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Housekeeping of warehouse and outdoor areas, which are to be always kept clean and clear of any hazards, with standards maintained at a high level.
- Participate in constant improvement activities.
- When required drive reach forklift and counterbalance forklift where suitably licensed. All safety checks to be performed and must comply with workplace standards for driving a forklift.
- Report any damages or repairs to any machinery or equipment
- Adhere to business procedures; all duties are to be carried out in accordance with Federal and State laws and in line with company policies and procedures, whenever applicable, and ensure compliance with the Company's EEO policy
Your Experience and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of organizational, administrative and financial aspects of warehouse management
- Knowledge of ERP systems
- Knowledge of warehouse logistics and storage and handling procedures
- Ability to process warehouse documentation (e.g. transport consignments, shipping invoices, bills of lading, picking lists, purchase and sale price lists)
- Ability to operate forklift trucks (counterbalance and reach type) preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Organizational skills
- RF scanning experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills (approachable, positive, motivated, go-getter attitude).
- Reliability and precision
- Good physical fitness and stamina and ability to lift items as required.
- Own transport preferred.
