Manager, Material Planning will be responsible for leading, developing and optimizing the materials planning with a focus on scheduling and forecasting the right volumes of materials along with optimizing the inventory. In addition, the incumbent will closely liaise with suppliers and drive process improvements.  

Part of the role is to ensure that the supply of materials meets the customer delivery schedule and to track the evaluation of supplier delivery performance with the specific task to continuous improvement for the delivery on time.  

He/She  manages all the activities related to warehouse management such as inventory turns, excess inventory, and obsolescence risks.  

This position will interact with numerous functions within the organization such as quality, manufacturing, purchasing, and logistics and will support the digitization process.  

    

 

Your Impact 

  • Establishes the standardization of materials planning processes, inventory optimization, KPI`s. Defines material planning rules definition and implementation for new parts and existing parts. 

  • Leads the material planning team in the following processes. Schedules and forecasts the right volumes of materials, goods and products to inbound to the business from its supply chain companies. Manages all the order changes, giving prompt information to the suppliers. Ensures that the supply of material meets the production schedule and minimum stock levels. 

  • Suppliers Management: submits the delivery schedule, checks the state of deliveries, manages bottlenecks or problems that may affect the production of tractors transmissions, and the customer delivery. 

  • Conducts regular meetings with main suppliers to discuss and align processes of improvement projects, KPI`s and performance review. Day to day order management and management of deliveries. Takes follow-up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production or deliveries to the customer. 

  • Manages inventory checks to validate inventory accuracy. Maintains constant contact with vendors while deliveries are on the route. The position will facilitate resolutions over supply risks, sharing capacity when necessary, and driving projects or action to improve the OTIF & RFT missing parts levels. 

 

Your Experience and Qualifications 

  • At Least 4 years of experience in supply chain/logistics environment. 

  • Degree in Engineering related fields, logistics & supply chain preferably. Proficient English language skills (written and spoken) are a pre-requisite. 

  • Ability to communicate and work effectively at all levels within the business and in a cross-functional organization. Experience in SAP is required. Project Management and multitasking skills. 

  • Must have excellent communications / financial / analytical / manufacturing functional knowledge. Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Project.  

  • Must have strong oral, written and interpersonal collaborative communication and presentation skills for effective dealings with suppliers and AGCO team members.

Your Workplace  

This role follows AGCO’s onsite work model, with employees primarily working from an AGCO location for a minimum of 3 days per week to support collaboration and teamwork.
